seairramarie: I just want to say how much I adore Jon Snow. He’s probably one of my favorite characters in the Game of Thrones TV show AND he’s definitely a favorite in the whole ASoFaI series. I don’t get why everyone hates him so much!!? Grrrr. Actually read the books and maybe he would seem better than these other scumbags you guys like. I’m gonna stop ranting and being a total geek now.  Good night.

worldapartfanclub: Last night I finished the first song of A Song of Ice and Fire, Game of Thrones. I had already watched the first season of the show which portrays a great deal of the book and admirably so at that, but I’m really happy to have read the book. It fleshes out the world and the characters much more thoroughly, and comes together much better for it. George R.R. Martin is a great writer, especially for his choice of genre. I’m going to start the second song A Clash of Kings in a moment. The image above is a portrayal of the final scene in the first song. It’s when Dany awakes the dragons among the ashes of a pyre. In the show they don’t burn off her hair, but I don’t see that as a bad thing. It really is a great story. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading.
